Nationalized Health care is the fantasy One Ring of the liberal world.  The panacea solution for the woe begotten huddled masses without health care insurance in the United States.  The only 'proper' solution, to the socialist liberals (aka "Democrats"), is to confiscate one sixth of the U.S. economy, and suck it into the maw of a giant bottomless black hole health care rationing bureaucracy, which would then have absolute power over the most important, and personal aspects of our existence on this earth.  Only the rich would be able to buy their way into top care, the rest of us middle class little people would be stuck with whatever the Government decided was best for the common good, even if that means an accelerated date with the Grim Reaper.

So it is with particular revulsion that we take note of a recent case from Oregon, which has a national health care-like State plan.   Oregon resident Barbara Wagner was recently denied coverage of $4,000 a month chemotherapy treatments for her lung-cancer, and instead the State offered a "palliative care" package which included the option of State funded assisted suicide.

You got it right, the State told Ms. Wagner she was a dead woman, and to prepare accordingly, going so far as to offer to pay for her accelerated departure from the Earth.  Health care rationing at it's ugliest.  It is cheaper to kill the woman than try to cure her. 

So that's it Stupid America, that is what you are pining for when you cheer those like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama for advocating National Health care - coverage for all with some very very nasty fine print.  To quote the person who posted this article on Digg.com "The mask of socialized medicine slips, exposing the inhumanity underneath."

As for Ms Wagner, fortunately the usually evil pharmaceutical company agreed to provide her treatments, and eat the cost at least for the first year.  The evil Corporation coming to the rescue of a human being, vs. the benevolent Government trying to kill her off.  Surely cats and dogs living together will follow soon, or perhaps the next stage will be for Barbara to be recycled into little green squares of edible protein......we'd call it Soylent Green........
