Nancy Pelosi unveiled the Democratic Party's solution to the Energy Crisis today.  A remarkable device that doesn't even need fuel for power.  It's a brave new direction for the USA indeed.

                            

We can't drill our way out of this energy crisis, the Democrats say, but we can pedal our way out!  Shortly the Government will be mailing out coupons to put the mechanical device called a "bicycle" within reach of most Americans. 

In addition, Pelosi called for a $300 million dollar prize to the first person or group who can develop an effective mass production plan for a new prototype zero emission vehicle.  Apparently the Federal Government discovered that the Exxon Corp had purchased the patent on this vehicle to prevent it's manufacture for fear they would be driven out of business (pun intended).  The Federal Government, acting on a tip, seized the patent.  Here is an artists rendition of the break-through prototype vehicle:
