Political Musings
With much doings these days, we thought we would offer up a few comments on some recent articles and events surrounding the Presidential race:
- Dems delighted over Gustav: A link on Drudge takes you to RedState blog site here, which shows video taken by a lucky blogger who was sitting behind former DNC Chairman Don Fowler on a airline flight, chatting it up with Congressman John Spratt (D - SC). In the video, Fowler expresses amusement, if not delight, that hurricane Gustav is bearing down on the coast of Louisiana, as it promises to disrupt the coverage of the Republican National Convention, and perhaps the Convention itself. Fowler suggests this must mean God is a registered Democrat. It's a bit of a shame that Fowler is amused that largely democratic New Orleans may wind up back in the bulls-eye 3 years almost to the day after Hurricane Katrina drowned the city, and laid waste to a vast area of the gulf coast region. Mr. Fowler's' delight that hundreds of thousands of Americans currently stand in harms way reinforces for us just how twisted, hateful and scummy the Democratic leadership has become. The nauseating Howard Dean, creepy Don Fowler, and ethically/morally challenged John Edwards are the face of a Democratic Party that make us cringe in disgust. The Party of Change? BULLCRAP!
CNN.Com - nope, not a peep (more on them below)
FoxNews.com - no, but they did run a similar story about the master propagandist Michael Moore concluding Gustav was God's punishment on conservatives. What a vile creep.MSNBC - not a peep on them on either Fowler or Moore.
MSN.com - gets their news form MSNBC, so nothing doing
Yahoo.com - nothing
Washingtonpost.com - at least not on the 'front page' website (we don't subscribe)
We surmise that the liberal media doesn't really want to publish liberal nastiness that might turn off voters.
- Dems continue to whine about VP pick: On the selection by Senator John McCain of Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate...Paul Begala, a CNN commentator and one of the more venomous liberal commentators in print today, had this to say on the selection: "....John McCain has shown that he is willing to endanger his country, potentially leaving it in the hands of someone who simply has no business being a heartbeat away from the most powerful, complicated, difficult job in human history." For his full commentary go to CNN.com here.
More amusing hypocrisy. The most amusing thing about it - people like Begala don't even see it as hypocrisy. We guess it's perfectly ok that the Democratic Party is willing to endanger our country, potentially leaving it in the hands of someone (like Barack Obama) who simply has no business being the heartbeat of the most powerful, complicated, difficult job in human history. Even more amusing that, for the all the complaining about how inexperienced Governor Palin is, she STILL has net more experience as a public Executive than Barack Obama.
There is one thing that is now for certain: regardless of which party wins the White House, history will be made. We will either have a first African American as President, or a first woman Vice President. We are living through history in the making.
- Hillary as a sympathetic figure: We are a little shocked that we almost feel sorry for Hillary Clinton. Screwed by the Democratic Party after she won the majority vote in the Primary, but lost the delegate count to Obama - (eerily similar to the Bush/Gore Presidential election outcome - see our Obama Selected, Not Elected post). Then poor Hillary gets an embarrassing royal bird from the Obama camp as they don't even pretend to vett her out for the VP slot. And the final indignity - McCain selects a female as his VP running mate. Denied her Presidential bid star, then denied her VP bid star. Talk about being on the outside looking in - Holy Crap! Our fleeting sympathy passed, we have this to offer to Hillary and her husband: "What goes around comes around".
- Joe Biden vs. Sarah Palin: We can't help but wonder if Mr. Biden feels his IQ is higher than Governor Palin's
- Obama claims Dems defend America: "We are the party of Roosevelt,” he said in the prepared remarks.
“We are the party of Kennedy. So don’t tell me that Democrats won’t
defend this country."
(as quoted on http://www.anncoulter.com). Ok, so FDR rose to greatness leading America through one of it's darkest chapters - both The Great Depression, and World War II. President John F. Kennedy authorized the disastrous Bay of Pigs invasion in a failed attempt at a US backed coup of Fidel Castro - ultimately abandoning Cuban Rebels, under fire, to their fate. Afterwards, there was this pesky dispute with the Russians that got us within a single trigger pull of WWIII. And then he massively expanded US involvement in Indochina, leading to another disastrous event: The Vietnam War.
As we have noted several times in other posts, the modern Democratic Party has done almost everything it could to intentionally precipitate military failure in Iraq. And they remain largely dead silent on the all too predictable turn-around of the situation in Iraq. Democrats have not defended this country during the Iraq war and have acted as proxy for enemies of the United States with their intentional attempts to undermine this nation's efforts to stabilize Iraq - to the delight of our enemies abroad.
The seeming sole remaining Democratic Iraq war hawk, Senator Joseph Lieberman, was drummed out of the party for advocating the strategic defense of America. Thus, TheStupidNation.com regrets to inform Barack Obama that Democrats will not defend this country, unless it suits their own political self-interest. The party politics of selective patriotism is one of their most vomitous characteristics.

Good minimalistic design. I like it))) My eyes is rest!
