Just An Ordinary Joe
"Joe the plumber" asked Barack Obama a question and embedded in Obama's answer was a major blunder:
Joe: I'm getting ready to buy a company --
OBAMA: Yeah?
Joe: -- that makes about 250, 270, eighty thousand dollars a year.
OBAMA: All right.
Joe: Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?
OBAMA: You get a 50% tax credit, so you get the cut of taxes through your health care plan. So you would actually get a tax cut on that point. If your revenue is above 250, then from 250 down, your tax is going to stay the same; 95% of small businesses make less than 250. What I'm saying is the folks who make more than 250, that that marginal amount above 250 they're gonna be taxed at a 39% instead of 36% rate. I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody.
Wealth redistribution is a concept embraced both by socialist and marxist doctrine. Wealth re-distribution is not part of the capitalist doctrine. Polls taken in the past have indicated that when isolated, the vast majority of Americans oppose the Government mugging some citizens in order to give their money to someone else.
It's one matter to be taxed heavily in order for the Federal Government to "establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity", but it is quite another for the Feds simply to dip into your wallet so they can give hand-outs to someone else. If there was ever a "tyranny of the majority" in a Socialist controlled Congress, that would be it.
Having done our bit to trash socialist doctrine, our point here is not really about the inherent tyranny of Government forced wealth redistribution. It's about Joe, but not in the way you think.
Joe asked Obama a legitimate question, and Obama blundered his answer, exposing himself in a way that could not be spun. So the result? The major media outlets have almost entirely ignored the issue of wealth redistribution, and instead attacked poor ordinary old Joe. We now know more about Joe than we ever wanted to. And Joe's background, whether he's a master plumber or a union-busting scab, a tax cheat or just delinquent, a mass murderer, a child rapist....etc etc has absolutely positively no relevance whatsoever to the fact that the Socialist candidate for President of the United States acknowledged in no uncertain terms that his tax agenda goal is wealth redistribution.
So, you don't see any 'Special Reports' from main stream media outlets on what wealth distribution is, what are it's origins, how it is weaved into the Socialist and Marxist doctrines, the how's and why's of it's incompatibility with Capitalist doctrine or how "Democrats" can embrace socialist doctrine and get away with not calling themselves Socialists. Nope, instead you see almost every news media doing features on who Joe is, what is Joe about, is he a Republican mole planted at an Obama rally, is he really a plumber, is his name really Joe, and on and on. An unabashed character assassination attempt to shoot the messenger, and discard the message.
ANYTHING to distract The Stupid Nation from the real issue - Obama's tax plan is all about wealth redistribution, and Obama admitted it in plain language that cannot be re-spun to mean something else. Barack Obama, in the most favorable light, is a Socialist - period!
To Joe we say: way to go.
To our fellow Americans we say: If you are going to vote for Barack Obama for President, then at least have the guts to admit to yourselves that you are voting to dismantle Capitalism in favor of Socialism.
