You know that democracy is in serious jeopardy when a left wing low-brow comedian is awarded ridiculously questionable, statistically ludicrous, post-election "recount" votes in order to steal the seat from it's legitimate Republican election winner.

It's not all that different from totalitarian government sponsored elections where it doesn't matter who you vote for, the anointed candidate will win no matter what.  Casting votes is a formality, and a mockery of democracy.  We sink lower and lower, and far too few people are noticing.  Or perhaps they notice, but just apathetically don't give a crap.

More and more the word "democracy" is being transmogrified into a joke unto itself worthy of vulgar comedian like Frankin.

Never in our adult lives have we been more alarmed and fearful for the future of the United States of America.
