Earth to Obama - The United States is Bankrupt
President Elect Barack Obama, the most unqualified candidate for President of The United States to be elected to that highest office in modern history, stood before all of us today and pleaded for support his insanely ludicrous "stimulus" program.
His Holiness, as anointed by liberal media propagandists, claimed that without the nearly trillion dollar stimulus, stacked on top of the 1-2 trillion dollar financial sector bail-out (depending on how you add), this recession would run long and be painful.
And he also said this: "This recovery plan alone will not solve all the problems that led us into this crisis."
No shit.
Always within the usual bluster and bull of political speeches, a little grain of truth slips out. Obama admits the painfully obvious, the trillion dollar bailout isn't going to solve our problems. But we're going to do it anyway. Because it is easier to get a rich man to squeeze through the eye of a needle than to get socialist big government types like Barack Obama to step aside, and let nature take it's course.
Spending a trillion dollars we don't have to bolster an economy staggered by the inevitable snap-back from the moronic excesses in the financial sector, enabled by an incompetent duplicitous Congress, will prolong our agony, not shorten it. It would be a somewhat different story if we actually had the trillion parked in a Chinese bank somewhere, but we don't. The United States Government doesn't have the scratch. So it shouldn't spend what it hasn't got. Most of us knew that the day would come when the US ran out of money, with deficit spending year over year almost continuously for two decades or so, and the pace accelerated by a jackass President Bush who steadfastly refused to pay for an expensive war and instead took out a Freddie Mac mortgage on the future of our great grand kids to pay for it.
Each year of deficit spending inexorably weakened the United States, billion by billion, eroding our ability to be able to respond to a true crisis bit by bit. And now the real crisis is upon us, in the usual manner in which a calamity arrives - a seemingly unrelated series of events converged to precipitate a catastrophe, and all Barack Obama wants to do is seal our doom with trillion dollar deficits "for years". The US Government is so weakened that it no longer has the tools or the will to effectively deal with this crisis.
Earth to Obama: We don't have trillions of dollars, and nobody in their right minds overseas (the uber wealthy Arabs and Chinese) is going to hand us trillions more to piss away. Printing funny money isn't going to work either, and will exacerbate our woes by an order of magnitude.
It is utterly unacceptable.
If you have been paying attention to the words and deeds of Barack Obama since the election, as we have, then it should already be obvious that the neophyte is no leader. Yes, though the media falsely portrayed him as descended from the heavens, Obama's leadership performance in addressing this crisis, and the other matters, has taken on an almost glum humorless monotone......'I don't know what I'm doing here' quality. He solution talk is always short on specifics and long on filler and over-broad, mostly inaccurate generalizations. That is NO leader.
While it's true that Obama partially inherited a gigantic mess, it's also true that he was an active participant, for his part, in it's making, for despite the propaganda coming out of liberal "news" outlets such as the New York Times that this is all of Republican making, the TRUTH is, that this fiasco was birthed by Democrats, and acquiesced to by most Republicans. In short, both political parties are directly responsible for this God-awful mess. The wall street types we love to hate, are merely the product of Government run amok.
Additional trillion dollar deficits will destroy the United States as we know it. The time has come to say "ENOUGH".
What we would like to see is an unprecedented voter revolt.....we need to vote out every single incumbent political candidate. Every one of them.
