Obama Wants to Destroy the United States - A Call to Arms

Relax FBI and NSA spooks - We are referring to the left arm, and the right arm - the majority of us have them, but lack the will to use them.

During the Presidential Campaign of 2008, we joined the chorus of people sounding warnings about President-elect Barack Obama's socio-political orientation.  Many, including us, applied The Duck Theorem in determining Obama's philosophical foundations.  This was necessary because President-elect Obama was so new to the political landscape - especially at the national level - that no one could speak to who or what Obama was all about.  Those that did know weren't talking.  And Obama himself adroitly side-stepped filling in the blanks.  The media deliberately didn't challenge, so they would not have to report bad news - invest the time to compare the relentless grilling/mocking of Sarah Palin to the nerf-ball weepy stuff on Obama.  We found it extraordinary that not a single individual within the Democratic Machine could stand up on the Podium and claim 'I've know Obama for years on end and he is an OK guy'.  Only Colin Powell vouched for Obama late in the election, and despite Powell's' denials, it was painfully obvious that his endorsement was along racial lines - perfectly understandable under the circumstances - but not exactly a ringing endorsement based on qualifications or deep personal knowledge of the candidate etc.

So, one was left with measuring the man in part by his known words/deeds up to that point, and his known affiliations up that point.

Feathers:  Obama associated himself with well known unapologetic Marxists - some rather notorious.  Also close association over decades with far-out radicals in the African American community.
Webbed Feet:  Obama stated social policies are most closely aligned with the classic definition of Socialism.
Quack:  Obama's own biography hinted at his Marxists leanings - read the passages regarding his brief stint in Corporate life (documented elsewhere to be inaccurate)
Waddle:  Obama refused to wear the American Flag on his lapel.  His wife was down on the United States until Obama jumped into national Presidential politics, and was anointed by a laughably biased media.  Other things along a similar vein - his criticism of the Constitution of the United States of America, for example (a document that he is about to swear allegiance to, so help him God.).

The Duck Theorem results:  Obama is most definitely a Socialist, and has very strong Marxist sympathies to say the least, and harbors an underlying hostility towards the USA as an entity.

So herewith we establish that we are a not-so-silent minority (so far) that question so-to-be President Obama's intentions as President.

Along comes the President-elects' economic plan, and the warning klaxon immediately starts gonging away.

John Maynard Keynes is a venerated British economist who first introduced the concept of Deficit Spending as beneficial to society during times of economic difficulty.  Many of Keynes economic theories were embraced by his peers, and are now woven into the economic fabric of today.

There is just one problem with the application of Keynes deficit theorem (yeah we know this is pedestrian interpretation, but we think it's close enough to make our points):  It assumes a Government otherwise financially healthy with a net long-term capacity to temporarily carry deficits.  As we just pointed out in our previous post, the United States Government has been deficit spending, in good times and bad, almost continuously for 20 or more years.  The unwillingness of Congress, and each succeeding President (though Clinton lucked out with the soon-to-burst tech bubble) to deal with deficit spending contributed slowly and inexorably to a financial weakening of the United States.   It is sadly reflective of a societal defect where the majority of us plan for today, tomorrow, the end of the quarter, and too rarely look farther down than that.   Too few of us pause to consider the what-if catastrophes, and fold these considerations into the actions of today.

This short-term myopia has gotten us into one hellofa mess, and why we deserve to be called, The Stupid Nation.

But, back to Obama and his proposed nearly trillion dollar deficit.   We can't help but wonder about soon-to-be President Obama and what he is up to.  A trillion dollar deficit - especially year-over-year trillion dollar deficits, as Obama has suggested is going to happen under his administration - will set the Nation almost irreversibly on a course toward previously unthinkable financial Armageddon.  Where inflation rates run in the 1000 percentiles and the Government defaults on massive debt, without hope of repayment.  In short - the destruction of the United States as we know it today.

We take note that there is very very little pledging coming from the Obama camp about ultimate fiscal responsibility.  About how the Federal Government is now so huge, the citizenry can no longer afford to support it - and we have been borrowing to support the unsupportable for two decades or more.

A real leader would step forward and tell us the truth - the time has come to take everything into account, and cut government down do a size that is sustainable.  But that is not what we are hearing at all.  Obama is giving very small lip service to Government, but the proof of his true intentions is in trillion dollar deficits.  We can't afford it, and he is already bent on it.

Finally this brings us to our call to 'arms'.  The only way to effect meaningful change is for the electorate to get off it's ass and be heard with virtually one voice - trillion dollar deficits are NOT the answer to our current woes, they will NOT solve our current crisis and have every indication of making it much much worse.   The Federal Government needs to get it's financial house in order, otherwise, our troubles today will be dwarfed by the troubles of tomorrow.  And tomorrow will arrive well within our life-times at the current pace.

A recent poll was published that suggested 65% of Americans wanted the Government to act on the economy, however, we are sure that if the question posed to those polled included 'would you support trillion dollar deficits if it would lead to the destruction of the United States?'  most of those people would say "NO".  The socialist/Marxists among us might say yes, but most of the rest of us would say NO.

The Stupid Nation needs to awaken from it's deep slumber before it's too late.   Congress needs to hear from all of us - GET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER, OR GET OUT OF THE HOUSE.

Our peril is dire.
