The New American Civil War
A web link on the Drudge Report today points to a blog item from The Hill's Blog Briefing Room quoting Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.). as blasting "tea party" protests yesterday, labeling the government protest activities involving freedom of assembly and freedom of speech "despicable" and "shameful."
Also today, Fox News humiliated MSNBC and CNN for their self-debasing use of the derogatory sex slang term "teabagging" and other derogatory sexual innuendo as they tried to denigrate and mock the largely politically neutral Tea Party protesters holding events around the country. The effort backfired. CNN and MSNBC reporters and anchors came off looking like creeps in a sad side show.
Left wing Moveon.org and other groups such as the infamous Acorn have been trying to rally support for Obama's socialist agenda and spending programs.
The Department of Homeland Security suggested that returning war veterans were potential "right-wing extremist" recruits - no mention of left wing extremist warnings (that's because the extremists currently control the White House). No doubt DHS was taking names and license plate tags of the Tea Party protesters to catalogue as potential right wing extremists.
A recent poll suggested that fully 20% of Americans are in-the-tank Socialists.
These are but a few anecdotal examples of a polarization throughout America that is growing worse by the day, not better. President Obama, who piously declared how he would bring the country together has been doing almost everything conceivable to drive us apart. It is therefore no small wonder why the apologist statesman Obama idolizes President Lincoln, because we seem to be rapidly approaching the day when the nation will be as deeply divided as it was April 12, 1861. Almost 148 years ago to the day the civil war started, and we find ourselves sensing that a civil cold war is raging in the United States between the far left Socialists who want to tear down this country, and the right who want to repair and see America return to it's proper place as that 'shining beacon of freedom on a hill'. Nothing makes this polarization more obvious than observing the news media completely shedding any semblance of impartiality and attacking, mocking, debasing any perceived left wing opposition. That is a gravely serious and incredibly harmful development.
Russian Professor Igor Panarin has been predicting the demise and fall of the United States, most recently predicting that, under Obama's failed stewardship, the USA would disintegrate into six regional country-states.
As we have stated here many times before, an ignorant populace cannot sustain a democracy. And it's true. What the current civil cold war seems to be about is the leftist elite maintaining control of the ignorant class in order to build an insurmountable power base from which to grind the nation down into just another failed socialist state in a failed socialist world. We understand well what Socialism is really all about. It's not about raising the little guy up and "leveling the playing field" between the haves and have nots, it's about the debasement of the individual achiever, the stripping away of individual dignity in favor of a failed collective doctrine that has ultimately lead to the deaths of 120,000,000 people in modern times.
We believe in American Exceptionalism. We believe that even in it's weakened state, with a current President who refused to wear the Flag on his lapel until it became politically expedient, an apologist for American policy abroad, a Socialist determined to destroy the American will to achieve, that America is still the greatest nation on the face of the Earth in all of recorded history. We are not perfect, but even in our imperfections, with our precious treasure and sacred blood, we have freed more oppressed, fed more hungry, clothed more destitute, healed more sick than any other nation EVER in the history of the world. And the engine of this unprecedented and never matched achievement was an unlimited opportunity free market economy empowered by driven individual achievers willing to take enormous risks in order to reap enormous rewards.
