Top Obama Advisor Calls Tea Party Protests Unhealthy

CNN.com quoted David Axelrod, a top Obama adviser, in an interview on CBS Face The Nation as saying this on the Tea Party protests:  "I think any time you have severe economic conditions there is always an element of disaffection that can mutate into something that's unhealthy,"   (Note, as we suggested in our last blog piece, DHS was probably trying to collect names of the protesters pegging these patriots as potential, if not defacto, "extremists" - listen carefully to the code-speak)

Axelrod quickly backtracked when pressed, but the cat was already out of the bag.

We've said this before, we say it again here:  The far left is Socialist.  There is no equivocation there - the far left is Socialist, end of statement.  They paint themselves in different words to keep the majority of Americans from realizing who they really are, and what they really stand for.  The Socialists among us, and that includes President Barack Obama, know full well the majority still will not embrace a 'cold water' conversion to a socialist state.  But they also know if they can lull the populace with wordsmithery, they can incrementally pull the country closer and closer to the Socialist Utopian model, until one day, the nation wakes up and finds itself Socialist.  The presumption is, if that happens, we will all just yawn at that final incremental transition, and it would then be a bloodless socialist coup of the United States, and "the great experiment" will have ended.

Socialism and American style free speech and free assembly are at odds, which is why socialists such as David Axelrod and Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) are reviled by these demonstrations.  These protests, which arose organically as ordinary citizen alarm over the disastrous economic policies of the Obama Administration, are entirely a healthy expression of a still functioning though sickly Democracy.  They are only viewed as an affliction by those who seek to transform the United States into a Socialist utopia.

The Socialists control most of major media outlets, and when a counter-counter-revolutionary message starts leaking out - even when presented in mocking tones by the leftist press, the people viewing/reading what's happening around the country, and listening to the message however trivialized, might latch onto that message, and join in the push-back.   That is truly what Axelrod and Obama view as "unhealthy", since it threatens to erode their power base.

We think the Tea Parties were a fantastic expression of American Democracy.  We believe participation would have been much greater had these events been scheduled off-work hours.  Certainly they were far more compelling that the manipulative organizing by very well funded left wing groups in support of Obama's corrosive spending and budget plans.  And a key reason why the tea parties were so compelling is that there was no political machinery in play at tea party protests, many of which barred professional politicians from addressing these crowds.  These protests were as "grass roots" as grass roots gets.

We don't blame Axelrod for finding these protests alarming, but to us, it's gives us hope.
