Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the dumbest of them all?

Wandering around the web this evening, we came across a link on Ann Coulters' web page.  It's a rip into Wacky Joe Biden by Ned Rice on the Big Hollywood blog about Wacky Joe's reference to the phrase "I'm proud to be an American" as "corny".

Mr Rice takes Biden to task better than we could for the whole psychology at play in the upper echelon of the Obama Administration which deems saying "I'm proud to be an American" as somewhat of a self-conscious embarrassment (don't forget that for the longest time Obama refused to were an American Flag on his lapel).  It's all good stuff, but what really caught our eye, was a comment juxtaposing Wacky Joe with allegedly Dippy Sarah:

"So on this July the Fourth weekend, please take a moment to contemplatethe implications of Joe Biden’s casual, unscripted (thus, highlyrevealing) thoughts on what it means to him to be an American.  Andafter careful consideration if you still think an arrogant,  grinning,eye-blinking, speech-stealing simpleton like Joe Biden is qualified tobe Vice President of the United States–  and Sarah Palin is not!–  I’dlove to hear from you in care of this website. "

That's a Mike Tyson blow square to the jaw. 

During the 2008 Presidential Election the liberal press mounted a predictably fearsome campaign against Sarah Palin because of the great threat she represented to the Obama Campaign.  While John McCain was not an inspired choice for the Republican Presidential Nominee, despite our many problems with McCain, Sarah Palin was a very shrewd and inspired choice for running mate. The left-of-left libs knew it, and wet their pants.  Thus, all during the campaign the libs did everything they could to paint Sarah Palin as a stereotypical rural white-trash mom a few watts shy of a the radiant brilliance of a 60 watt light bulb. 

And so many people bought it - hook line and stinker - without the slightest realization that their opinion of Sarah Palin was being manipulated by a media terrified by her emergence on the national political stage.

What went unnoticed, and which Ned Rice magnificently points out, is that for all the condescending 'Would YOU want HER a heart-beat away from the Presidency' crap, is that currently we have a complete moron for Vice President..........one heart beat away from the Presidency.  That was a very clever piece of bait and switch.  We shouldn't vote for Sarah Palin because she was a ditz, but instead we were supposed to vote for the first Marxist President in American History, with one of the truly dumbest running mates ever fielded on a national political ticket.

The only really huge problem with all this is that Sarah Palin really isn't a ditz, but Joe Biden really is dumber than a bag of hammers.

The ferocity of the continuing Sarah Palin attacks by the left tells us all that they are still terrified of this woman.

As for Biden - stick this in your pipe and smoke it:  We're unequivocally proud to be American

We are also thoroughly embarassed by the Obama Administration.

PS:  We enjoyed watching the recent TV interview with Sarah Palin while she was fishing.  Somehow, being gooped up in fish guts while being quized by your typical talking head reporter was very fitting, and in some strange way we can't quite explain, a little sexy!
