Stealing From The Rich, Giving To The Poor

I bet you thought this post was going to be about Liberal wealth redistribution - fooled ya!

Diverging here tonight from my usual political oriented commentary to offer a few comments on the latest Ridley Scott flick Robin Hood.

My comment:  What was he thinking?

The Robin Hood tale is completely stale.  There have been too many movies on Robin Hood.  The concept of a 'prequel' to the classic fairytale doesn't appeal to me one bit.  The bottom line is - I do not have even a remote interest in paying to see yet another interpretation of this story-line.

Ridley Scott is one of the best directors in the motion picture industry today.  In my opinion, he ranks in the top five.  One of my favorite films of all time is Blade Runner - the best science fiction film ever made, as far as I am concerned.

But......even the best of the best goof from time to time.

So, with apologies to one of my favorite directors, I am going to pass on this movie.  I'll watch it when it makes it's way to a cable tv movie channel.
