Pilot Union to Pilots - Refuse Electronic Strip Searches
In an update to my Enough is Enough posting, the Allied Pilots Association has recommended to it's worldwide pilot members that they should "opt out" of the electronic strip search due to health and privacy concerns. Opting out means they get an "aggressive" pat-down search instead, and as I previously pointed out, searching pilots is an absurdity, since these people can strap on a plane and kill every passenger on board simply by auguring the aircraft into the ground.
It seems that only in an airport can you or your kids be sexually molested and not have it be a crime.
Despite TSA claims to the contrary, the electronic strip search devices provide reasonably good resolution of a person's private body parts, and these devices can store up to 40,000 scanned images. TSA claims they are not using the storage capability of these devices, but their track record of lies and half-truths make their credibility suspect at best.
And as noted in the above link - the medical safety of the type of radiation used by these devices is under a cloud of doubt.
Supposedly, there is refined technology coming available in the near future that will block the image display of a person's private parts so that the viewer can only see items that are suspect. The TSA is aware of this technology, but has vowed to continue strip searching all passengers, or sexually molesting those who "opt out" until such technology becomes available.
Just as the pilots are doing - everyone should refuse these searches. Everyone should refuse the electronic strip search, and everyone should refuse the molestation pat-down alternative. There IS power in numbers, and here we can all play a part, and remind the government who is really the boss.

Children from a given family background, when put in schools of different social compositions, will achieve at quite different levels.
