Republicans are to Nazis as the Democrats are to...??

In the news today is a video gone viral of House of Representative member Steve Cohen (D-TN) invoking Naziesque metaphors at Republican expense during a speech on the floor of the House regarding the health care repeal debate.

In my previous post, I discussed the viciousness of the left in attacking Sarah Palin in particular for her use of combat metaphors and the media trying desperately to tie the shooting to Palin - unsuccessfully in the end.   However, because a Democrat member of Congress was the primary target, the leftist press ass-u-me-d that the only person who could possibly have a beef with a Democrat was a Tea Partying conservative wing nut.  And therefore, it's the rhetoric of the right that gets everybody hot and bothered.  Those Democrats are just so nice and polite and civil and such.  How dare we criticize the left?

Democrats are not nice, haven't been either tolerant of opposing thought or very civil in a good long while (but that's ok, because I am just as intolerant of liberal statists and all they represent, and do not suffer such fools well at all).

So at the end of the day (and it really is the end of the day!) we have to thank Representative Cohen for showing us all just how creepy and nasty the leftists can get.  As it turns out the right doesn't hold any copyright on nasty political rhetoric (but I knew that, and I bet you did too)

Furthermore, clearly the Honorable Congressman from Tennessee is upset that the Republican Party was hell-bent to pass a symbolic repeal of that gigantic mess called "Health care reform", which a plurality of Americans opposed, and despite A/P propaganda, still do.  Well, I would just like to remind the Congressman, and anybody else out there listening, that the "Health care reform" legislation enacted was baked in secret behind closed doors exclusively by Democrats, and then rammed down our throats without any vetting whatsoever.  No public hearings, no committees to review the 2,000 page abomination, no time to read, let alone digest all those pages.  No public testimony pro or con.  Wham, bam, thank you ma'am.  Not a single solitary legislator who voted for the 2,000+ page debacle actually read it before the vote to pass it into the law books.  And this was hailed as a "victory" for Obama and the clown princes of the leftist party.

So, with all that said, now I am wondering out loud here....when comparing the Republican effort repeal "Health care reform" vs. the Democrats ramming this legislation down our throats.....when speaking of Nazi metaphors, which of our two political parties acts more like the National Socialist German Workers' Party of old?  The Republicans, or the Democrats?  Like FoxNews likes to say:  You decide.
