The Left's Corporate Buddies
Note: I am trying to keep this blog going as best I can while I am getting crushed by workload.......

Two articles in the news recently that bust through the liberal media perpetrated myth that only the political right get copious patronage from Corporate America while the humble blue collar liberals rely on the generosity of taxpayer paid union contributions, and the nickles and dimes scrapped together by the poor and middle class unclean masses.
Bill Clinton moves out of Harlem, into the heart of the NYC financial district. Yes, out of crime infested Harlem, where the little people live, and into the waiting arms of some of the biggest and wealthiest left wing supporters in the country - Wall Street. As I have discussed in other blog articles, and has been discussed also by a plethora of talking heads, Wall Street is a liberal cash machine. Even so, both liberals, and the mass media that serve them so well, tried and tried and tried to tie Wall Street to conservatives, and particularly to President Bush for all Wall Street's ruinous real estate derivative speculation, which very nearly brought the US and world economy down. Sadly, for many, the disinformation campaign worked. Now here is Bill Clinton abandoning the po' folk he claims to so love, and landing softly in the bosom of Dodd-Frank state-controlled investment capitalism, and no doubt an anticipated feather-bed of Wall Street cash.
The second article out today details that General Electric, deeply in bed with the Obama Administration, turned a $5,000,000,000 profit on operations in the US, and paid exactly $0,000,000,000.00 in Corporate taxes. Knowing the liberal mind, despite the fact that Obama has showered patronage recognition on GE's CEO, and gifting GE with "stimulus" money even as GE shrunk it's US domestic work force, somehow this is all George's Bush's fault. Another epic fail for the ordinarily hostile-to-business Obama Administration, where even those devilish Corporations can be tolerated as long as they grease the gears of liberalism. In fact, it is altogether fitting and proper that liberals would anoint the GE CEO as head of a blue ribbon panel on jobs after he fired a truckload of American workers in favor of slave labor overseas.
The huggy touchy-feely amalgam of a mega Corporation like General Electric and the Obama Administration reminds me in a vague kind of way of the movie Rollerball (1975), starring James Caan. In that depressing futurist flick, the lead character battles it out with Corporations who have taken over rule of the land.
So there you have it - two anecdotal examples of how the myth that Corporate America only controls and influences the right is just that - a myth. It's beyond doubt Corporate money does influence the right, and it is also a fact that the Corporate cash is actively courted by the left as well, and any claim to the contrary is a big fat lie.
