Is A Trend Forming Here?
President Obama seems to be getting it from all sides recently. The question: is this merely a confluence of unrelated events, or do Obama's allies, and enemies, all see blood in the political waters....
It's not about failure, it's about epic failure. And I for one, expected it.
- A stiff rebuke by a large bi-partisan majority in Congress putting Obama on notice that his continued flagrant violation of the War Powers act won't be tolerated. If Obama chooses the way of the political thug, it could set up a Constitutional crisis in the middle of the next Presidential election cycle. O' to be President of China instead.
- To people who follow that boring science of Economics, it was no big surprise that most indicators are heading south. With employers sitting on an estimated 2 trillion dollars in capital reserves, and refusing to hire new domestic employees in a political climate, led by Obama himself, more hostile towards business and capitalism than at anytime I have ever witnessed in my adult life, It was only a matter of time. It is not so much that democrats are beginning to distance themselves from Obama's collapsed economic policies, it is far more telling that the leftist media are having a harder and harder time selling the bad news as "unexpected". If you are not a member of the Stupid Nation Corps, then long ago you expected the "unexpected", and we weren't disappointed. Obama is in quite the economic pickle now. There is very little he can do to try and win back the hearts and minds of most business leaders. How does he unwind the almost universally reviled Obamacare? How does he backtrack from a disastrous "Financial Reform" bill that he hailed as a big win for big government? How does he transmogrify into a Champion of Capitalism after he has so openly shown his contempt and disdain for the engines of profit and loss? The answer is: he can't. Mitt Romney (he is a left leaning RINO - just barely - and I am no fan of his) came out swinging saying Obama has failed us. No surprise there, Rush Limbaugh famously said that for America to succeed, Obama must fail, and he caught a lot of flack for saying it, but it was true then, and it's true now.
- Obama enjoyed not a single solitary vote for his proposed budget in the Senate. Not one vote. However, this news was so "unexpected" by the leftists controlling most mass media news outlets, that you only read about it if you follow the Drudge Report, or get your news from other alternate new sources. I'd like to see Katie Couric ask Obama if he cried when he heard that news.
It's not about failure, it's about epic failure. And I for one, expected it.
